My daughter’s best friends mother made the Chex™ Lemon Buddies one day and they were REALLY good. A nice sweet lemony tasty snack. Today I decided I would try my hand at them. But of course I have to always do my own little twist on things. Nevertheless, the kids said they were good so that is all that matters, right?
My husband saw a recipe in a magazine of this really yummy looking Creamy Lemon Pie and hinted at wanting me to make it for him. Since Father’s Day was around the corner, my daughter and I decided to make it as our dessert for Father’s Day.
It had a silky consistency like ice cream yet it had a nice lemon flavor! Not overpowering lemon flavor at all!
We made the gluten free graham cracker crust since I have no idea where to find one in the stores around here.
Nevertheless, it was a nice ending to a long day.
I love piccata sauce — but my kids think it is a little too lemony so I have come up with a mild lemon sauce that even the kids like. I say that is a win-win situation in my household! AND of course I love garlic and mushrooms, too, so I have added that to the sauce as well for a beautiful flavor!
